It’s time for a second wind. I’ve been somewhat diverted of late. Living in the country I spend a lot of time collecting logs from the Forest of Dean to chain saw into fuel for the fire – given the rising cost of oil. And, I’ve had to do what most of us are doing now, looking at ways of cutting down every expense.
The two writers websites, YouWriteOn and Authomony have taken up time and I have realised it is oh so easy to become obsessed by these online peer review sites. But, I have learned one or two things that I think have helped me improve the main novel I am trying to sell (get published) ‘Old Habits Die Hard’. On Authonomy, you have to include a book cover of sorts and I used a still from my video trailer showing a character pointing a gun right out of the cover- at the reader.
I thought it was cool but a few people were put off by it. So, I’ve changed it to a seductive shot of a ravishing Eurasian woman so, let’s see if that sets the cat among the pigeons.
